Ernst Schlotter, Founder of SISM Hockey
SISM HOCKEY has been offering training camps for professional foreign ice hockey teams in
Switzerland since 1995. So far, SISM Hockey has held more than 250 training camps and organized
more than 750 preparation games against NLA and NLB teams.
In 2011, Ernst met BESA through mutual friends at Dinamo Minsk (KHL). The idea was soon born to
run a power skating camp in Switzerland which, as we can see today, is a great success. The camp
was certified by SIHF in 2016. Herbert is also a man from the very beginning who has been with us
since the first camp.
Ernst Schlotter has been offering on-ice tests through his company Sport-Tests (Switzerland) since
2015. Over 3,000 players have already been tested and Sport-Tests (Switzerland) has also tested the
Russian U16 national team in Sotchi. In addition, he tested players from the KHL team Barys Astana
and its 12 junior teams, as well as all junior teams from Frölunda Göteborg including the two
Swedish championship teams U16 and U18. Some of them were already drafted to the NHL.
The most famous SISM Hockey customers include teams like; SKA St. Petersburg, CSKA Moscow,
Salavat Yulaev UFA, Lokomotive Jaroslavl, Avangard Omsk, Vityaz Podolsk Sparta Prague, Litvinov,

BESA is currently the world's top skating instructor, and while with the Pittsburgh Penguins and
Boston Bruins, he won the Stanley Cup during his tenure. Besa also worked for HC Davos in
Switzerland, from 2013 to 2019, and won a championship and the Spengler Cup. According to
trainer legend Arno Del Curto, Besa is the world's best coach for planning and carrying out skating
training. In his more than 20-year career as a professional hockey skate trainer, he has already
trained over 5,000 NHL, AHL, minor pro, major junior, junior, high school and A-AAA qualifications
in the USA and Canada. In Switzerland he trained young Swiss players during the famous Arosa
Power Skating Camp who have made it into the NL and Swiss League as well as to the senior Swiss
national team who won twice the silver medal at the World Championship in 2013 and 2018.

Herbert won the German championship four times. In 1996 he started his career as a coach and
won the German championship three times. He also worked for various ice hockey federations in
various functions and has extensive experience as an strength and conditioning trainer. We have
an excellent strength and conditioning trainer on our team, a specialist who has further upgraded
our professionally run power skating camp in Arosa.
Important cornerstones in Herbie‘s Schädler's power skating career are as follows: Pioneer in
skating trainings, in 1998 the first power skating camp in German-speaking countries was directed
and carried out by him. For 9 years he was Besa’s assistant, and helped to organize more than 500
hours of power skating trainings in Arosa and in 2020, because of Covid-19 he led 4 power skating
camps with many Swiss junior national players, as well as led the off-ice training, as Besa could

The eleventh BESA camp was a great
success, and again more than 100
players took part in it. We have already
returned to planning for 2022, and we
will start with the first camp on June
12, 2022, and are already accepting
applications.
